  1. My double mastectomy is Monday and I have so much fear and anxiety. I sent for this gift to help ease my mind and to have something to read during recovery but I have not been able to put the books down. Thank you thank you thank you a thousand times!!! I still have anxiety but it has been eased to the point that I don’t have fear. I appreciate you so much and the way God has chosen to use you. God Bless you both!!!

  2. I received the gift from my Sister in Law a few days ago. Im truly blessed to have received something at such the right time. I have a small surgery this upcoming week and reading the book and knowing I have others who think of me and pray for me made me feel at ease. I’m currently going through chemo treatments (cycle 3 out of 12) and I met a few people (3) who might appreciate this gift. Although I don’t know them too well to send each a basket I was wondering if there’s a way to request 3 and give them each one when I go back to my chemo sessions or how can I do this? I know they will appreciate it a lot. I’ve heard some of their journeys and I know they will love the books. Mary (one of the 3 patients) will definitely love the tote bag. She adored mine when I took it on Thursday. It’s great for my blanket, water bottle and snacks. My chemo session are 6-7 hours long. Twice a week every 2 weeks.

    • Hi Kimberly, Thanks for writing and I understand what you’re saying. There are a lot of things humans can’t do or cure, but Jesus did say that what is impossible with man is possible with God. This is part of the definition of a miracle. I believe and my doctors believe I had a miracle to be cured – 19 years now of advanced Stage IV metastatic melanoma.   10. I am really looking forward to the messages. I was recently diagnosed and the doctor says I have a long road ahead of me. Which is fine I am use to long and hard roads. With that being said I am finding myself getting mad at God and I don’t even know why. He didn’t give me cancer and I know He is the only one that can get me through this. So I shouldn’t be mad at him.

You know, it could be that you’re being tempted to be mad at God. We can be flooded by temptations and then the devil can turn around and blame us for it. Sounds like you’re actively fighting off the temptation. I like to read he book of Job which shows how we can grieve what we’re losing or what we lost and still trust God’s goodness and love.       • As a Christian, I do not fear death. I embrace the better life of be no suffering. However, this is my DAD. The rules do not apply. Haha the doctors face said it all in April 2020. I’m not certain the doctors expected him to make it thru the first radiation and chemo. but he did. They kept looking for the cancer, biopsies, collapsed lungs, and they still could t find it. I know my god healed him. Even if it was just for a few more months or years. ☺️ I’m grateful. I’m also grateful for your ministry. Mag God bless you and keep you! Amen !

  20. Thank you for the gift bag. I have already finished Joe’s book, and the Subway card came in very hand for lunch between the many many appointments I’ve had in the last four months. I’m sitting here post-surgery with the assurance the whole tumor is out and gone. I still have radiation and other treatments ahead. I’ve ordered a basket for my uncle who was diagnosed a week before my surgery with Stage IV lung cancer that has riddled his body. Doctors are saying 6mos. I know Jehovah Rapha is greater than cancer and can heal him. Thank you for faithfully encouraging those of us walking this path.

  22. Thank you so much for the care package from stronghold ministry. I needed that shared love and the books. I will enjoy the subway gift card. That was a nice surprise. I didn’t realize that would be included. I am 3rd Stage Colon Cancer. I just had my 4th chemo treatment out of 12. I already had the resection surgery back in July. Just taking things one day at a time. I have received and acknowledge the daily blessings God has placed in front of me. I pray I can be witness to someone going through the same situation.

      • We are still struggling. My husband has 1st and 2nd degree burns on his neck and chest. They had to stop radiation for 12 days. We saw the radiation oncologist today, and I thought we had decided that we weren’t going to do the last 3, yet the radiation oncologist talked my husband right into it. I am overwhelmed, stressed and full of anxiety. All which I know my Lord says is wrong. I am the one cleaning and debriding the dead skin off two times a day, applying new medicine and new dressing. Now I will explain my husband is a surgeon so it isn’t like the radiation oncologist pulled the wool over his eyes. He understood all of the lingo. And…. I have been a Surgery nurse for 30+ years so I at least know how to take care of his wound. The difference is when there is a personal connection it is the hardest thing you have ever done. I touch it and this man who hunts Bear in Alaska and Elk in New Mexico cries. But at the end of the day I believe in BOMBARDING Heaven with prayer for Healing. Not just from us, but everyone I know who knows how to pray and reach the throne of the Father. So I ask that you and your team remember one more family in Charleston, WV in your prayers.

        • Dear Susan, SO sorry for all of that pain with the radiation wounds. And it is so stretching when the Lord allows brand new situations that we “think” we should be able to handle. We so need Him constantly. Weakness and being overwhelmed is horrible, I hate it, but but this is where HE says His power and grace flourish. Most recent blog is on this here.           • Wrote you twice in October regarding my husband receiving your books, his cancer and subsequent radiation burns. God is good. He will be one year out from surgery in two weeks. PET scans are normal, had his fourth laryngoscopy today and it was normal. Skin from radiation burns has healed completely. You know God is really good. I requested a basket tonight for a dear friend of ours daughter in law. We know just how much your story meant to us. Thank you.

  28. Hi Joe, I am was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 colon cancer with Mets to the liver. I was overwhelmed when my husband came home with a gift basked, that a patient of his brought to us . I feel so blessed that so many people, are keeping me in their prayers.

  32. This is amazing. I’m 27 and fighting cervical cancer. It’s such a scary thing hearing you have cancer but love people like you that make it a little brighter and I sent one to my grandpa he’s fighting lung cancer we both have to do the same chemo and dif types of radiation but again thank you

  34. My dad had cancer in his lung, it started back in 8/2014, then in 5/17 they found it in the other lung, he had surgery and they advised, he done 4 chemo. Every 21 days. Finished it in January of 2018. They done pet scan and found it in his colon. Had surgery, it was in 3 of 12 lymph nodes. So went yesterday to chemo Dr and he said 6 months of chemo. So we are going today to a Dr for a port. He is 78, please pray spirits get lifted, this really hit him hard yesterday. We just lost my step dad 3/28/18 to cancer. Had no clue he had it, he was 65. When we found out, we put on Inhospital hospice on Sunday and he passed away Wednesday morning. We all camped out together, when my step mother passed away from 12 years ago from cancer at 62. Not many daughters can say they fished between there dad and step dad and my husband. We had some very good times. I am blessed! Please pray for my dad!

I got a bag both for my mom and my dad they both are battling cancer my mom has malignant melanoma stage 4 and my dad had stage 4 non- Hodgkins lymphoma he is in remission but he has a severe brain injury from chemo brain, I’m only 19 this not only hard on me their eldest daughter but it is hard on my older brother and little sister. Is there any way you could help us as their children to cope with what’s going on.

  41. Thank you for the gift basket. Reading the books have been helpful helping me understand why God has brought me this pain, after being born with a rare chronic kidney disease, raising children alone after divorce, and other trials in life. I gave my life to the Lord many years ago, and said , ” I am your servant do with me what you will”. He brought me to a clinic to save the unborn with my ultrasound skills. Being taken away from my work for the Lord showing these girls their babies has been confusing as that was my calling. Now I realize ,after reading My Stronghold, he has another calling . I am not sure what he wants from me now so I shall pray for him to guide me. I certainly have time to pray while finishing chemo. I keep my crocheting supplies in the Stronghold carry bag. (THE BAG has gone to Chemo, dr appointments , and even to TX for Christmas for a visit to MD ANDERSON. )
    Thank you for your work. I need to talk to God more as I drifted away during my cancer fight. I was losing my faith, and questioned death, God, and heaven. I felt I was already in hell. My faith was so strong, how could these thoughts even come to my mind. Now I have a better understanding and hopefully can get back on the right track again. GOD BLESS YOUR MINISTRY.

  43. Thanks for doing this. My wife got the news she had breast cancer the day before Thanksgiving of this year (2017) four days later I found out I have cancer in my Lymph-nodes in my neck.

  47. This is just what I needed to see today. I’ve been fighting colon cancer for 2 and 1/2 years, twice in that time. I’ve been on chemo the whole time, had numerous surgeries. Some days I feel so defeated and there have been a lot of them lately. I can’t wait to get this and start reading the books. Thank you for everything you do!

  52. Hi, just received my Gift Basket, cannot wait to read the books, still shocked from Stage 3 colon cancer, getting my feet wet returning back to work part time. Thank you so much, I have several friends living with cancer that I will refer, not sure how I will use my journey to inspire others, I am collecting books for women’s cancer support group and after I read these I will share. Thanks again, I will try to call in soon.

  53. Hello, I’m Robert and was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer February 20 th 2013. I received a gift basket from y’all and wore my arm bracket up until it broke last month. Could I please get another arm band, thanks and to all those fighting, never lose hope. With God All things are possible.
