At the end of Mark’s Gospel, Jesus gave His “Great Commission” to the Apostles. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. … These signs will accompany those who have believed: … they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:15, 17, 18 – here). Jesus predicts how He will move when the Good News is embraced. I believe His plan is huge for the physically sick, including those fighting cancer today! Here’s why.
“Signs” are God’s miraculous proofs to inspire faith in Jesus. Amazingly, Jesus said the signs of miraculous recovery of the sick would not be from the Apostles’ hands, but from their converts’ hands! Yet some believe signs were only performed by Apostles because God was introducing new revelation through them. They believe signs ceased when the Apostles passed, which is called Cessationism.
When Will Signs Cease?
However, these verses directly counter this belief. For how long though? Just one generation? Nope. Peter said the signs on Pentecost would continue “until the great and glorious day of the Lord.” In other words, until Jesus returns to earth at the end of the current world order (Acts 2:20).
So, until Jesus comes back, we should approach Him boldly for physical healing of any illness, including cancer. I had Stage IV cancer back in 2003 when they gave me “days to live,” and the Lord miraculously healed me! I know many others who were also healed. God still uses healings as signs to stimulate belief in Jesus for eternal life.

Just Do It
