Where’s Your Well?

We all worship something. We all drink from wells – where’s yours? Who is the Father seeking to worship Him!? Think about it. He is seeking people to pay attention to Him, to see Him! Worship is just a place of focus, a place that sees clearly “what gives life”! All day long we worship the “things” we love! Family, health, beauty, food, fun, connection. We worship, that’s not the problem. God is seeking worshipers, because we all are made to worship Him! 

I often look for the perfect place or time or feelings to worship. As I walk with those drawn to Stronghold Ministry that are sick, weak, and grieving disappointments, I see the wells we all run to for hope and life! That’s where Jesus shows up to realign our sight on Him and His heart for us!

He is seeking us all! Especially those that are like – the woman at the well!

• She had 5 husbands (desiring connection).
• She wasn’t trying to act holy (just simply living).
• She wasn’t in church, (she was getting water).
• She was thirsty (needy).
• She was at the well (seeking to fill herself).
• She was honest with her life (not hiding from God).
• She was curious enough to be humble (seeking more).
• She was looking for the Messiah (she must have known she needed one!).

And He showed Himself to her – at the well of her life! 

“But a time is coming, and even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus *said to her, “I am He, the One speaking to you.” (John 4:23-26).
