We marvel that Emmanuel is “with” us on our journey, but there’s more! For those who have invited Jesus Christ as Savior into their lives, He is within. Note what Jesus said to His followers in John 14:17 about the changing geography of His Holy Spirit:
“…the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.”
Talk about strength for the journey! Do you know the God of the Universe, the Prince of Peace lives in you? Thus, His strength is yours. This is supernatural, overcoming, depression-squashing strength! Do you know this power is available to you in your every day life? Do you know HE lifts you up from within in the midst of the heart-wrenching crises of life, just as He did for me during my Stage IV melanoma journey. I’m not saying it wasn’t still difficult, but He certainly made it so much more bearable!
2021 will have it’s share of challenges, but you and Him can face them together. He works all events for your good (Romans 8:28) and all His plans are for your welfare and hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We can rest in these truths, no matter what goes on around us!
